Tasted by nwinther on 2/4/2006 & rated 92 points: Nice colour and a opulent bouquet. Has that milky texture - almost oily. After a few minutes in the glass a wonderful bouquet of violets burst througt. Lots of tobbaco and cedar on the palate. Still fruity (black berries) but I doubt it will develop further - at least to the better. (623 views)
Tasted by Vine on 1/23/2006: With Grilled Rack of Ontario Lamb - served from Magnum. Lovely brick colour with a very nice concentrated nose of cedar and black fruits. The taste did not quite live up to the nose - somewhat thin, lacking in the middle but an acceptable finish. This showed what a tough vintage 1993 was. Still a very nice wine which should be consumed now. (724 views)
Tasted by steve elzer on 12/23/2005 & rated 92 points: More garnet than purple in appearance. Earth and barnyard mix with cedar, tobacco, leather and dark fruit on the nose. In the mouth, the concentration and intensity just isn't there that you find in stronger vintages. Still, it has an ample amout of black cherry as well as cassis, pepper and roasted coffee. The tannins do a commendable job in adding some heft and backbone to the wine and they create the impression that there is more there there in terms of length of the finish. (779 views)

It had a lively character but was a bit thin on the fruit. Some black pepper and plum notes. I would guess this is an early drinking vintage. 87 points. (838 views)

Tasted by Alpine on 7/30/2004 & rated 89 points: Nice nose, respectable fruit for the vintage. Cassis and lead pencil emerge as the wine sits in the glass. I drank this the Friday afternoon that I was supposed to be at the Senior US Open but is was rained out. I scored a 61 in Tiger Woods golf, play station 2 my lowest round ever. At Poppy Hills from the back tees and fst greens. (1156 views)
