We did a test today at Palm Recording studio where Taz Sellers was the sound engineer and we tested two mics that we will use on the next cd that we are recording. The mics were the CAD Trion 8000 (399.00) and the Shure KSM 44 (899.00) the CAD is tube and the Shure is solid state. We then ran the two mics into the Martech MSS 10 Pre Amp and we really liked the sound of the CAD Trion 8000 Tube mic much better. It was really warm and picked up very nicely the mid's in the nylon guitar. Will post some sound tests at www.victortarassov.com later. We then ran things to the Motu 828 Mk II and into Logic Studio 8. We have our sound.
