Just got both mics and they are wonderfull the Shure is that calasic vocal mic tha you just need in your gear cab for mics. The Blue Snowball mic is great for podcasting and that is waht I purcased it for. It's USB plugs into your laptop for me I use garage band, logic express 7, and Logic Pro 7 and there are two downloads from www.bluemic.com that give you gain or less for loud sound aplications.
