7 Hours and 12 Min to the Wedding with Kathy
Wow its almost hear it 3:47m and I cant seem to sleep. The reseal when well. Yesterday was interesting. I had taken the night before off to help calm my nerves and I was feeling pretty sick, Im sure nerves and stress from where I work. So I was able to feel some yesterday night and I thought I would be feeling fine today that being Friday. Well I ran around with Charlene to get everything set and my sumach still acted um and my valves were leaking. For those of you who know me will know that meant for me but it is kink of embracing that at 40 things have started to break down. I had spent some time in prayer and reflection on Thursday night as well and I remember coming to this point. “You never know what that person that you just meet will be in your life or where time will take that relationship.” I have been privileged to meet people all of the country and some of them will be at the wedding yet most of them when I first meet them I had no idea what roll or who they would be in my life 5-10-15 years down the road. I wonder what life would be like if everyone treated people that they just meet as a GIFT? Well back to not sleeping when I checked it was 7 Hours and 12 min to the vows. The slide show seemed to work well the sound system and the guitar all seemed to be wonderful to. But I have to say it was pretty nerve racking having the gear show up 2 hours late. It was wonderful that everyone has helped us this far. So many of Kathy's friends chip in to set up and its wonderful John, Karen, Ellen, Cindy, Susan, Dale, Laura, Margaret, Charlene and Mike thanks. Well I hope that stomach will chill out and I wont have to make runs to the rest room. I will put some pic and sound clips up later for those of you that may not have been able to see the wedding or come out to PA. We look forward to visiting with out friends in CA Southern and Northern. A Sonoma hear we come. Will be recoding some in two weeks at The Zone, that should be fun as well Well thats it for now.

Edirol R-09 & iPod 60GB
Well Kathy got the Edirol R 09 yesterday and is wonderfull. Smaller than a Palm Treo 650 & iPod but about 3/4 of an inch thicker. Its sound capture for the size and price is terefic. I really like this product. More to come.

R-09 System Update Version 1.03
This is the latest version of the R-09 operating system. Please refer to the "readme.pdf" for the update procedure.
This update adds additional SD card support, and improves the overall stability of the R-09 when used in higher temperature environments.
NOTE: The update files that you download and save to your computer from the link above are enclosed in a compressed zip file. These files will need to be extracted from the zip file before you can perform the update.
You can do this by using the WinZip application on your PC running Windows XP, or by using Stuffit Expander on your Macintosh (needed for OS 10.2.x or below). If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.x or above, then you will not need Stuffit Expander.
When you double-click on the downloaded file that you saved to your computer, WinZip or Stuffit Expander should startup automatically. Coconut Battery v. 2.5 Good Battery App.
The Coconut battery update is very cool and lets you see where your battery is as far as how much more juce you left and do you need to replace you battery. I got this infromation from Ottmar Lieberts sight. coconutBattery v2.5

My laptop battery is sucking and I just ordered a new one. According to the Coconut Battery Widget my old battery is on Load Cycle 652 and batteries have a lifetime of 300-500 loadcycles. In other words: no wonder!!
You can order a replacement battery by Newer Tech at OWC. Each new battery includes a label to return your old battery for proper recycling or disposal. They are also Mercury-free.

What is coconutBattery?

Stearling Mic 66 Back to Guitar Center
Well the Sterling Mic was returned today to guitar center because it would not sit right in the holder and there was a slight rattle in the mic. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Stearling Audio ST 66
Well this is the Stearling Audio ST 66 Tube Mic, I have been recording with it for two days, however on the way out of Guitar Center the person that checks the packages droped the mic on the floor about 3-4 feet. The mic has a small sound when you move it like something is lose or broken. It also does not sit well in the shock mount. So we will bring it back this week and try another one. 13 Days 2 go to being 1 and yet still 2 & Joy Cant be Taken Away
Wow so much has happened this last week, never in my life have I been suspended, well It was for something at work that I did not even do but was asked to do by one of the MD’s. Then my overtime was taken away from me, money that I earned but wont have on my honey moon. And yet my joy of being in love with Kathy, support by wonderful friends, love of family, joy of music and my hope in my God was not rocked. Mean spirited and spiteful people cant take joy away that is what I learned this week. Joy can’t be taken away by people who dont have it. Wow joy is something that if you have you don’t have to worry that someone else can take it from you. I feel sorry for those that try, that there lives depend on trying to be spiteful or revengeful but they will and there relationships will suffer even thought they may never really know. That is sad for them. But what I have is wonderful people who love me for who I am and do not try to hurt me or take things away from me. Kat and I have signed a lease, got our marriage certificate, rings, and maybe even a new mic today. Oh how I look forward to tomorrow and all the new things around the corner.

Sterling Audio ST 66 Tube Mic Possibilty
Add tube condenser warmth and depth to your recordings. The ST66 tube condenser mic employs a large capsule with an ultra-thin 3-micron evaporated gold Mylar diaphragm. Optimized to capture the most definition and detail from all acoustic instruments like piano, drums, and guitars, the ST66's low-noise GT6205M tube in a Class-A triode circuit provides warmth and detail, adding new dimension to vocal and especially instrument recording.
The ST66 uses triode wiring on specially selected pentode tubes to yield low noise and a more realistic dynamic response than their competitors. Its power supply is designed with a load-balancing circuitry that allows cable runs of more than 200 feet with no deviation from optimal performance.
Sterling Audio microphones employ several advanced technologies that separate their large-diaphragm condenser mics from the rest of the pack. One of the more important advancements is their Disk Resonator system. With it, Sterling Audio is uniquely able to compensate for the 14kHz frequency roll-off that is inherent in large diaphragm mics. As any good audio engineer knows, this deficiency translates to a lack of sparkle from high-frequency sound sources. Other manufacturers have typically solved this problem by cutting other frequencies and then increasing the entire signal to help even out the frequency range. Unfortunately, this results in increased noise. Disk Resonator Technology incorporates a brass umbrella that protrudes from the center of the diaphragm in Sterling Audio's ST66 microphone. It gently boosts the diaphragm sensitivity to shorter sound waves, allowing it to respond more accurately to those all-important higher frequencies. The result is optimal sensitivity, full frequency response, and a low signal-to-noise ratio. Another piece of audio wizardry comes in the form of the ultra-thin diaphragm membrane made of Mylar. While most modern condenser diaphragms are 6 to 12 microns in thickness, Sterling Audio, in association with 3M, has produced a highly resilient Mylar that measures a mere 3 microns. This allows the ST66 to deliver an extraordinary degree of sensitivity.
The ST66’s large capsule with ultra-thin 3-micron gold evaporated Mylar diaphragm is built with an exclusive process that extends high frequencies to improve details and depth on both vocal and instrument recordings. The legendary low noise tube in a Class-A triode circuit design provides warmth and detail, adding new dimension to vocal and especially instrument recording.

A post that I put on Recod Producer
Again you have gone to far I think with out thinking it all out. There are ways the musicians can make music and not have to go through major labels the Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 license. This is different from regular copyright in that you are allowed to sample, mash-up, or otherwise transform this work for commercial or non-commercial purposes, provided that you properly credit the original artist. It’s the artist who needs to think how the art will get to the audience. Not the record company. I think that if as a record label you put the money out for a product you want to get your money back and so that is ethically correct however if you want music to be sold in stores that others can have a copy of or second hand then you cant have recorded with the big boys. vvt.

Wow its getting close for us. Kathy’s back from CA no running away now, Im stuck in NJ for now so it looks like we will be heading off to the chapel to get married on Sep 23 11:00am. Wow I cant wait!

Kustom Speakers
These are the speakers I use for playing live they are the 12in Kustom Speker Cabs that will run from the Alesis power amp. I will be using the guitar running into the Fishman Aura, then into the Trace TA 50R amp, then a line from the Trace into the Beringer Mixer one Aux running the Alesis Midi Verb, and out to the Alesis Power Amp. From the amp its to these speakers.
