Thank you very much for choosing our Martech MSS-10 microphone preamplifier.
Please send my regards to Ottmar Liebert for his continued support.

The MSS-10 will color the sound very little, so now your limitations are not
in your microphone preamplifier. Differences in your recording environment,
instrument, playing technique, mic placement, mic choice, etc., will all be
more apparent, giving you a lot more choice. With its low-noise and
high-headroom, you can use the MSS-10 to push a lot of signal if you are
recording to analog tape or to work conservatively if you are recording to
24-bit (or better) digital - other preamps with a lot of color or character
often have a sweet spot which limits how you can use them to integrate a
microphone with a recorder.

You will probably find that while recording with the MSS-10 you play in-time
and in-tune better than with other preamps with more color or character.
Also, if your guitar has a built-in pickup, we have a new direct box with
the same quality as the MSS-10, the Martech MSS-01 - many people record a
pickup output along with the mic'd sound, and put this to creative use at
mixdown.

Good luck, and please contact me with any questions (and let me know when
you release recordings made with your Martech gear).
